Lights on! for Christmas

On Saturday, 21st November 2015 residents of Luddenden Foot came together at 5.45 pm to witness the switching on of the Christmas tree lights and street lamp decorations. It was the first time in many years that a Christmas Tree has been erected in the village and the 'living tree' is adjacent to the canal and the 'Knot' sculpture.

Mrs Heather Hartwell, secretary of Luddenden Foot Community Association said, "We are grateful to the local councillors, council officials and for funding from Luddenden Foot Ward Forum which has enabled us to have a Christmas tree and street decorations. It is good that Luddenden Foot is once again recognised as a village.

It is good that Luddenden Foot is once again recognised as a village. The event has brought people together and the Association was very pleased to be able to provide refreshments and somewhere for people to socialise on a rather cold but dry evening".
