Meeting of Friends of Holmes Park

Thank you for your interest in setting up a Friends of Holmes Park group. I can now report back to you on progress so far.

I’ve arranged for the rotting pathway that was mentioned to be inspected for safety and to see if it can be replaced, I’ve obtained an initial donation of £200 to get us started, I’ve spoken to council officers, I’ve got agreement for the lend of clean-up equipment from the Council and I’ve got a draft constitution and the forms for a bank account. I’ve also spoken to the Police, who may be able to provide some funds. So I think we can begin to progress things now. I’ve called a quick meeting, no more than an hour, at 10.30 am, in the Luddendenfoot Institute again, so that we can move forward. It is at 10.30 am on Saturday 22nd April 2017.

I know that it is holiday time for some, but do come along for an hour if you can. At that meeting we will need to find someone to chair our meetings, someone to take notes of anything we decide and someone to be treasurer. Have a think about whether you could help out, for the first year at least until we get on our feet. Look forward to seeing you there if you can make it.
